How do you get rid of acne?

I am so sick of pimples and blackheads. I've tried use biore strips for blackheads, but they don't work on me. I wash my face two or three times a day, i use acne gel on my face, and i drink TONS of water. But the pimple and blackheads keep appearing. I have really oily skin and I use a prescription lotion to get rid of all the oil, but that doesn't keep me from getting acne. Please help!
