Does hyperopia get worse?

Ok a couple months ago I had an exam done because I have been experiencing some headaches and eye strain. I was told im farsighted and given a prescription for glasses. +1SPH on both eyes. I got a second opinion yesterday from an opthamologist just to make sure, and he did a dialated refraction and found my prescription was actually +.75 SPH each eye. Since I couldnt accommodate, is this the worst it will be, or will my prescription increase or decrease with age? I doubt ill fill the prescription, its not really strong enough to bother with. and why was my prescription stronger when I could accomodate than the refraction I had when I couldnt accomodate?
