How would you singe tulle?

Maybe you shouldn't singe it at all. If you really want to, I honestly have no idea how to, and you might want to stop reading now. But if you prefer, you might be able to create a singed look with some sort of ink. I've used alcohol inks to make an aged, singed sort of look before, but never on fabric. It might be an interesting experiment that won't result in flames.
