Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips or Manicure & Pedicure?

Hi! I'm going to Florida for a week. I usually have my nails painted (I paint them myself) for a vacation, but I need them done for a whole week without flaking. I heard about the Sally Hansen Nail polish strips, and I think they're amazing! Do they feel weird on your fingernails (like tape on your nails), or do they feel like a regular manicure (nail polish)? How can I remove them? Should I just do my own nails, go to a salon, or get the nail polish strips?
